Located just minutes from the historic center of Scicli—a pearl nestled in the Val di Noto and a UNESCO World Heritage Site—this ancient rural residence reopened its doors in 2026 after an extraordinary eight-year restoration.
A perfect blend of countryside privacy and proximity to the golden beaches of Donnalucata, the small port of Marina di Ragusa, and the dunes of Sampieri dominated by the famous Penna al Pisciotto furnace, Dimora Camille is a charming retreat where the soul of Sicily meets a cultured and cosmopolitan charm.
A place with a profoundly Sicilian soul, a traveler. Dimora Camille had to live up to our dreams and the land on which it stands. So, accompanied by architect Viviana Haddad, we brought together the best of Sicilian craftsmanship to honor its history.
A story of rebirth: from 1851 to cultural métissage
The property’s roots date back to the mid-19th century, during the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies. The year 1851, engraved at the entrance to Villa Spinazza, testifies to the origins of the manor house used during the agricultural harvests. The Palmento, dedicated to pressing and producing olive oil, was added in 1875.
In 2015, Sammi Coubeche, an internationally renowned entrepreneur with African roots, a French education, and a life spent exploring the world, stumbled upon the property. He was captivated by the poetry of these ruins nestled on rocky terrain overlooking the sea.
To make this dream a reality, Sammi entrusted the conservative restoration project to architect Viviana Haddad, a profound expert on the Sicilian soul who, 25 years ago, initiated a stylistic revolution in the restoration of its “sleeping” beauties with the creation of the famous Casa Talìa in Modica.
From their dialogue, a project of cultural métissage and rigorous respect for the original architecture was born: a workshop of local craftsmen and artisans who brought to light dry stone, limestone, and terrazzo floors, combining them with custom furnishings, traditional ceramics, and natural fabrics.

Dimora Camille, a loving tribute to Sammi’s mother’s name, offers intimate accommodations in three rooms, a suite, and four apartments:
The Ground Floor Rooms: bright spaces that fade into the outdoors, featuring private terraces overlooking the gardens. Among these, the Canne Room gracefully reinterprets the island’s traditional architecture.
The Suite: Located on the first floor, it offers panoramic views of the Hyblaean countryside and the sea.
The “Mare” and “Patio” Apartments: independent solutions designed for those seeking complete privacy.
The Villa: a complex building with a contemporary and welcoming loft on the ground floor and a spacious apartment on the upper floor.
The rock spa and the mediterranean gardens
The Dimora’s gardens are designed as a botanical and sensory journey: a path through citrus groves, organic vegetable gardens, fruit orchards, and aromatic plants that perfume the air surrounding the panoramic pool, which visually blends with the sea horizon.
The private spa includes a sauna, a hammam adorned with Zellige tiles, a relaxation area, and an elegant beauty/barber corner. Truly stunning is the massage room, housed within an ancient irrigation cistern carved directly into the rock, and the gym, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the countryside and equipped with the latest Technogym equipment.
In addition to a generous breakfast featuring local products, Dimora Camille can organize a variety of experiences, including sunset yoga, dinners with private chefs, and cooking classes, as well as all kinds of tours to discover the surrounding towns.

The Secret
Dimora Camille is characterized by the typical local stone, the so-called Iblean tuff, which changes color with the light – blue at dawn, white in the morning, pink in the evening at sunset – thus giving views of extraordinary beauty.
