The History of Minareto

The rebirth of Minareto began in 2000, when Giuseppe La Spina purchased the property, one of the oldest accommodations in southeast Sicily, with the desire to enhance the region and its Sicilian heritage, a vision now carried forward by his sons Antonio and Cristian.

The resort was built with complete respect for the surrounding nature: every stone, every palm tree, and every path is designed to make guests feel like they’re inside a private reserve, where the scent of the sea air mingles with that of Mediterranean gardens.

Minareto offers 43 rooms, 28 suites, 2 grand suites, 5 villas, 3 grand villas, offering a choice of private gardens, terraces overlooking the cliffs, and pools surrounded by greenery.

With the aim of enhancing the central role of nature, in 2020 the La Spina family acquired 30,000 square meters of authentic Sicilian countryside, a garden to be discovered while strolling among rows of olive trees and prickly pears.
