Palazzo Trigona Suite (SR)
In the baroque center of Noto, a historic residence that houses three wonderful suites, where you can indulge in the charm of the Sicily of the “Leopards” and its most beautiful noble palaces.
Palazzo Trigona di Cannicarao, one of the most important in Noto, is located in the central Via Cavour near its Cathedral, famous for being the patrician street along which, after the terrible earthquake of 1693, the most beautiful baroque palaces in the city were built.
It takes its name from the noble family who had it built, the Trigona marquises of Cannicarao, whose descendants still live on the main floor of the majestic palace, the largest in the “Baroque capital”.
The continuous search for experential places capable of describing the Val di Noto has brought us here, in one of the main noble palaces of the late Sicilian Baroque UNESCO site.
Part of the residence has been restored and dedicated to a hospitality project aimed at enhancing, both in the atmosphere and in the interior, the historical heritage of the place, a synthesis of the many souls of south-eastern Sicily.
Like the memory of ancient and noble glories, the modernity of environments that lend themselves to an ever-changing use over time, the strength of the stone of the late Baroque reconstruction embroidered by the creative ingenuity of master architects and stonecutters of the eighteenth century.
Three the suites to choose from: the Grand Suite Principe Trigona, one of the rooms that the prince loved most because its enormous terrace that opens onto the horizon of the historic centre, almost breaking into the three most important churches of Noto: the San Salvatore, the S. Chiara and the San Nicolò, the Cathedral; the Suite dei Mori with a spectacular vaulted stone ceiling; and the Aranceto Suite with its elegant four-poster bed, so called for the historic orange grove of Palazzo Trigona, the last testimony of a wonderful garden, which the room’s balconies overlook.
Both the details, such as Etro sheets and Ortigia courtesy line, and the concierge services are designed to pamper the guest in every aspect of the stay, including the buffet breakfast set up in the entrance hall of the palace which, as requested, it can also be served in your room.
Palazzo Trigona Suite is in the perfect position to visit Noto, located right in front of one of its attractions: the splendid staircase decorated by the artist Carlo Coniglio, whose creativity changes on special occasions such as the annual Infiorata, and has become one of the symbols of the city.
