Born from the dream of Florinda Saieva and Andrea Bartoli to change their land through the power of contemporary art, Farm Cultural Park is an art gallery and widespread museum generated by the complete urban redesign of the town of Favara, near Agrigento.
Favara is a small town that was slowly depopulating, one of the many in post-war rural Sicily, which not only came back to life and filled with young people and beauty thanks to an urban art project, but has also become, in turn, a source of inspiration and admiration for some of the largest metropolises in the world, from Seoul to NY.
Located less than 10 km from Agrigento, Favara is now at the center of the world’s artistic and architectural scene thanks to the vision and determination of notary Andrea Bartoli and lawyer Florinda Saieva, a couple of collectors with a great passion for contemporary art and the dream of improving the world.
The Beauty of Places is also the Beauty of Behaviors and therefore the Beauty of Life.

Thus, Florinda and Andrea came up with a regeneration project aimed at renovating some abandoned structures in the town and in 2010, thanks to the support of their contacts and several local entrepreneurs, Farm Cultural Park was born, which today presents itself as a vibrant and colorful widespread art gallery and artist residence that hosts temporary exhibitions and works by international, emerging and established artists.
The heart of Farm Cultural Park is located in the historic center of Favara inside Cortile Bentivegna, an aggregate in turn made up of the so-called Seven Courtyards: a small Arab kasbah in which several local entities that believed in the project also coexist, giving life to activities accessory to the cultural one such as bars, bistros, and shops.
For a town that until yesterday was unknown even to Sicilians, this is a small miracle. In the Italy of abandoned villages, Favara goes against the grain and uses its past as a basis for building a future rooted in the energy of art and culture.

Farm Cultural Park, in addition to being an open-air museum, also presents itself as a cultural hotbed where temporary exhibitions and permanent installations of contemporary art are set up (there are so many calls for artists), various presentations and courses are held, and numerous events.
Farm Cultural Park has been such a success in the world of contemporary art and architecture that, through its team of curators and professionals, it is contaminating more and more places, countries, locations.
In addition to the Favara location, in fact, Farm Cultural Park currently has ongoing and future exhibition projects also in Agrigento at Villa Genuardi, in Aragona at the Auditorium Incompiuto, and soon in Palermo at the Convento dei Crociferi.
There are also many activities planned in the context of Agrigento Italian Capital of Culture 2025 which include the main event of Farm Cultural Park, namely the Biennale delle Città del Mondo – Countless Cities which explores urban stories of symbolic cities that have been reborn through the arts, such as the Bronx, Medellín and Nazareth, in a dialogue between urban planning and culture.
Check out the Farm Cultural Park website to see current exhibitions and be sure to book a visit to the Favara location, one of the most incredible urban art projects in the world.
The Secret
In 2010, the tragic collapse of a building in the center of Favara accelerated the process of realizing the Farm project, as the administration at the time was deciding whether to knock down some houses in the historic center. So Andrea and Florinda rushed to renovate them as cultural spaces to give hope to the inhabitants of Favara in such a difficult moment.
